The Ambrosia Maple with "Bora Bora Blue" pigmented resin "Fractal Strike" serving board is  18.5"x11.75"x1.2". Ambrosia maple, also known as wormy maple, is a general classification for maple lumber. It's used to describe a variety of Acer (true maple) species that have color bug trails throughout the board. These trails can cause stripes similar to those on a tiger. This is numerous pieces of hand selected Ambrosia glued together like a cutting board and not 1 solid piece of wood. This board is sanded to 800 grit then Finished with "Odies Oil".  

This board should not be used as a cutting board as there is a purple resin inlay that should not be cut or chopped on. This board should only be used for serving or decoration.

Care Instructions

Caring For Your Wooden Cutting Board

Your cutting board will last for a long time with proper cleaning and care. Follow these simple instructions to ensure your board remains beautiful and in good condition

  1. Wash all sides with a warm soapy cloth. Do not soak in water or place in the dishwasher. Rinse with clean warm water. Dry with a soft cloth immediately after rinse. Stand upright or in a drying rack overnight to dry and if possible store in a dry place standing and not laying flat to avoid any warping that may occur.
  1. To deodorize and sanitize lightly sprinkle the surfaces with salt. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze some juice out onto the board. Use the cut side as a scrubber to ensure the board has been covered in the salt/juice mixture. Let it sit for several minutes. Rinse off and dry as above.
  1. Monthly depending on use coat the entire board with the board butter supplied which is a mixture of all natural bees wax and food grade mineral oil. Let it soak for approximately 1 hour and then buff off with a dry soft cloth. This will condition the board and keep it from getting dry and will bring out the beauty in the natural wood grain.

Your Cigar Ashtray will last for a long time with proper cleaning and care. Follow these simple instructions to ensure your it remains beautiful and in good condition

  1. Wash all sides with a warm soapy cloth. Do not soak in water or place in dishwasher. Rinse with clean warm water. Dry with a soft cloth immediately after rinse.
  1. Try to use the rest for balancing as much as possible to avoid the cigar ember from sitting directly on the resin.
